It shouldn’t need to be said but don’t mess with elephants. In fact, unless you’re in a zoo, don’t even go near them.

Why? Well, despite being portrayed as gentle giants in media, they can be vicious — a male African bush elephant weighs around 13,000 pounds and run up to 25 miles per hour, and if you wrong him, you just know that he’s going to use that weight to stamp you into a pulp.

Take, for example, this video. In it, you can see two men who have clearly gotten on the bad side of an elephant. And so, they run away — something that the elephant takes personally.

For the remainder of the video, the men run in fear, hoping that they don’t die in the most cartoonish way possible. By the end, the elephant seems to have lost interest, sparing these two tired, probably very confused men their lives.

In case you’re wondering, if you really want to run away from an elephant, experts say that zigzagging is a tactic that’s effective both on foot or in a vehicle, as an elephant will need to slow down to change its course in order to properly chase you. Let’s hope you never need that advice!
