Escape from Tarkov is one of the latest games to hit mainstream, having broken into Twitch's top 10 games in the past week. While the development team is undoubtedly celebrating its surprising success, many players are busy being upset about the game's laggy performance, blaming it for most of their deaths.


Given the widespread reports of low framerate and poor hit registration, it's become clear that something is wrong. Some are calling it a lack of optimization, others that the devselopers are lazy. Whatever the case, it's holding back a game that could go much further.

YouTuber Battle(non)sense decided to investigate further by performing a full netcode analysis of the game. What he found was shocking; network lag on action and other key factors performed worse than virtually every other game he compared it to, even PUBG. See for yourself:

Escape from Tarkov is currently in Early Access, so technically what gamers are complaining about isn't officially out. So hopefully Battlestate Games can polish things up before it meets v1.0.
