Though A.I. may be coming for our jobs, our artistic expression, and our long-revered beauty standards — why have two boobs when you can have three? — our digital overlords have now sunk their pixelated teeth into the dating game, compensating for one influencer’s apparent lack of rizz.

Self-described “Top Tech G” Ethan Keiser has recently taken to TikTok with a social experiment — or more plausibly, a big ad for his app, which claims to “unlock your dreams of feeling famous” by employing AI chats and thousands of viewers on a faux Livestream. His hypothesis was simple: When it comes to follower counts, size definitely matters.

“You might be wondering why this model is giving me a kiss. It’s because she thinks I’m a celebrity with 40,000 people on live,” he began his now-viral clip, one of several in which he appears to trick seemingly unwitting girls into believing he’s a public figure.

Shortly after setting up his fake “live stream,” Keiser said he was approached by a woman —for all intents and purposes of this article we’ll believe she wasn’t a paid actor — who began questioning his celebrity status.

“I didn’t say a word, I just pointed to my LiveStream,” he continued. Keeping in the spirit of dudebro deception, Keiser let his AI-generated comments do the talking, successfully convincing the woman that he was not only in Spider-Man but also in Black Panther.

“I was not expecting the AI to say this,” he added, referencing the fact that he, unlike the vast majority of the Black Panther cast, appeared to be white.

Against all odds the ruse appeared to work, the pair hitting the club as thousands of digital commenters heralded just how cute they’d be as a couple.

“This day was crazy, she thought she met her future famous husband,” he concluded.

While in all likelihood, this video is just a guerrilla marketing campaign — neither myself nor any of the hot girls I know would voluntarily walk anywhere near a man live streaming in public — redditor u/Tylerreadsit said it best: “All these people suck.”
