There’s no better encapsulation of mid-2000s television than MTV’s Pimp My Ride. For those who are unaware, the Xzibit-hosted show featured broken-down cars that would be taken and given absurd upgrades, such as chandeliers, chocolate fountains, and in one case, a hot tub.

In reality, these upgrades were not always as they seemed. Many items had to be removed after filming, and in some cases, the mechanic team working on the car didn’t even upgrade the actual parts that made the car run — meaning that these junk cars were still junk cars, only now they had interior cotton-candy machines.

Despite this, some internet users yearn for a return of Pimp My Ride. One such user is X/Twitter poster @YouDunnoVusi, who sparked discussion after posing a simple question: What would Pimp My Ride look like today?

Quickly, X/Twitter users shared their takes. First, some riffed on the insane nature of many Pimp My Ride additions:

Others joked about what character traits the show would latch onto before making the upgrades:

Now I wonder what they’d do to the Cybertruck?
