War leaves behind a lot of surprises. For the people of Germany, that can mean occasionally finding an unexploded bomb when you’re trying to renovate your train station. If you’re Laotian, this can mean having random bombs explode literally anywhere at any time at all. But for those of us over here in the West, many war leftovers range from harmless to curious to downright cool.

As we’ve already discussed, 2024 is the year of the tunnel — and today, we have a whole new tunnel to show you. Earlier this month, a U.K. resident posted a slideshow documenting the air-raid shelter she discovered in her back garden. Now, she’s offering us a full video tour.

According to TikTok user Bex, who posted the video, she had been told by people in the area that she had this air-raid shelter in her backyard. She began searching for it, and after removing a large slab of concrete, she was able to find it and head inside.

Sadly, the air-raid shelter isn’t much to write home about. Simply put, it’s a hallway, and not one with a Barbarian-style surprise at the end of it. In fact, if you follow the hallway, not only will you be stuck in its sealed-off end, but you’ll still be in the U.K. — a fate worse than death!

That said, Bex has since added lighting to the tunnel, and while she wrote in a comment that she’ll “probably leave it as it is for now,” there’s always a possibility that it could become the U.K.’s hottest new clubbing destination. It’s a blast!
