While the nation has achieved incredible feats in the worlds of engineering and vending machines, it’s also created many mysteries for outside observers. Why do they like baseball so much? Why does everything have a mascot? And what exactly is happening here?

In this video, a man can be seen getting into a play-fight with a woman in an Osaka park (not Tokyo, as the title would have you believe). After a gentle kick, he sits on the ground, ready for what he knows is coming next.

Slowly, the woman removes her boots and wraps her leg around the man’s throat. After a few seconds, he passes out, and the woman removes her legs from his neck and puts her boots back on. The man eventually regains consciousness, smiling and looking around in disbelief as he gets up from the ground. Good times had by all.

You may be wondering, what the hell is going on here? Let’s get this part out of the way: it’s probably a fetish thing. But beyond that, it’s likely that the woman choked the man out in an attempt to get him high.

Confused? Just in case your friends didn’t have scumbag older brothers growing up, this is a well-known, well-documented and incredibly dangerous thing one can do if they want to feel lightheaded and slightly high. I cannot stress this enough: Don’t do this, no matter how tempted you are or how inviting the woman’s legs seem.

Regardless, the man survived and seemed to enjoy the experience — and, if the video shows the whole encounter, he didn’t even have to pay for it. Good for him!
