Though they may be depicted as cute, cuddly, bamboo-loving animals, panda bears are still most definitely bears, a fact one tourist discovered the hard way in a recent zoo trip gone wrong.

In a now-viral clip shared to r/PublicFreakout, a nosy tourist discovered that animal cages exist for a reason, getting one hell of an a— whooping after sticking her hand between the bars in an attempt to pet the panda.

While it’s unclear what, exactly went on between the panda and the zoo visitor, it’s clear that the bear was not happy to be touched, appearing to reach back through the bars and shaking the woman with all its might. After several moments and the help of two brave passersby, the visitor was ultimately free, tumbling down to the ground alongside her black and white foe.

Somewhere in the DWCU (Dreamworks Cinematic Universe) a single tear of pride is cascading down Kung Fu Panda’s cheek.
