Despite the insane context, the video is shot like a fairly typical day-in-the-life vlog, complete with upbeat background music. Of course, opening with, “Come with me to remove the tattoo I got matching with my mom BEFORE I found out she was sleeping with my husband,” lets us know that literally nothing about this is typical, but it’s a fun contrast.

She’s undergone over a dozen sessions of tattoo removal at this point and the tattoo, a love heart with the words “You’ll Be” written inside, is still visible, serving as an ongoing reminder of one of the top 10 worst anime betrayals of all time.

Fortunately for those of us who are pathologically incapable of minding our own business, OP has an entire playlist on her profile of videos explaining the drama. Initially, she noticed that her mom and her husband became more touchy-feely when greeting each other, with the husband going so far as to swing the mom around in a circle when saying hello, as well as giving her foot rubs… in front of his wife/her daughter. Um.

It all came to a head when her husband was allegedly DoorDashing in another city and FaceTimed her from his car. She recognized the buildings in the background as being houses in their city, not far from where they lived, and asked him where he was and what he was doing. Naturally, he avoided the question, gaslighting her and claiming he wasn’t in town despite evidence to the contrary.

OP ended up calling her sister, who was living with their parents at the time, asking if their mom was at home and asking her to check. At that point, the sister revealed that their mom had left with OP’s husband earlier that evening, essentially confirming her worst fears. This led to a confrontation at their home that culminated in OP’s mom and husband coming clean.

Probably one of the worst parts of all this is how many members of OP’s family knew something was up or had suspicions but didn’t share them with her, leaving her completely in the dark and without a support system after the truth came out.

OP’s mom is back with OP’s dad, who is choosing to pretend nothing happened, while OP is raising twins on her own. Truly, nobody has ever needed a tattoo removal more.
