Nowadays, everything feels like it’s trying to turn us back into babies. The most popular media properties are superhero-related, every advertisement is pastel color-filled and has the tone of “don’t you deserve a lil’ treat?”, and real, actual adults are now using coloring books.

While you might already be familiar with the adult coloring book trend, you may not realize how far it’s spread. For example, Colorado State Representative Amy Paschal was recently spotted in a hearing about gun control — only her focus was directed solely on the iPad coloring book app she had in front of her.
