As rising inflation causes chaos in Argentina, with looters targeting stores ahead of the nation’s presidential election in October, one group of shop owners isn’t messing around.
Redditor u/ArticckK headed to r/PublicFreakouton Thursday with a clip — the age or location of which is unclear — claiming to depict business owners arming themselves from possible thieves with a fuckton of weapons.
“Chinese supermarket owners preparing to defend themselves against looting in Argentina,” they captioned the video.

Though it’s unclear whether the video was snapped in recent days or back in 2013, when the South China Morning Post reported on a similar story, Redditors were equally terrified and impressed by this insane display.
“Very smart- let the looters know beforehand and maybe they will stay away,” wrote uturefirestorm.
“Good!! Someone needs to [do] something about this,” added u/Ok-Emu-9515.
Meanwhile, others wondered if these shopkeepers were being a little too cautious with their armory.
“Those shotguns would struggle [to] hit targets consistently from 150-200 meters+,” wrote u/multicoloredherring. ”18,905,000 meters is going to take some real luck to be effective.”
