A group of Australian teenagers have been arrested after recording themselves pushing a 79-year-old man off of a bridge, then posting the video to social media.

According to 9News, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. The boy who pushed the man is 14, and the man himself could not swim. As a result, he nearly drowned.

“Go, go, go, go,” one of the teens can be heard saying in the video. After they successfully push the man off the bridge, one teen exclaims, “Yeah, the boys!”

Police later found the 14-year-old and arrested him along with another teenager present at the scene.

9News later reported that the 14-year-old was known to police. Per another article from the outlet, the teenager was out on bail after allegedly punching a woman from behind after she confronted him while vandalizing a bus. “Two boys just come and started smashing me in the head,” said the victim, a woman named Jamie Tilbrook. “I was telling my girlfriend to get away, like, I didn’t want her to get attacked.” Tilbrook was later rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness following the attack.

Thankfully, it appears that the man wasn’t injured, and the teenagers are going to stand trial for a host of crimes — truly a group undeserving of the title “the boys.”
