After nearly 12 years on the throne, North Korean overlord Kim John Un has reemerged as the supreme leader of yet another jurisdiction —  the fashion world.

Last week, the Twitterverse rediscovered that fiery weapons *and* fits are among the leader’s favorite things to drop, taking to the platform to acknowledge his impeccably minimalist sense of style.

“OKAAAYY???” Twitter user @yassnito wrote on Saturday, March 12, alongside a snap depicting Kim Jong Un rocking a matching gray set consisting of a structured jacket and oversized pants.

Shortly after hitting the web, Kim Jong Un’s look — one *very* much giving Naomi Campbell at the Dior Homme show earlier this year  — garnered praise from Twitter’s fashion critics, his classy take on ‘90s silhouettes and embrace of the clean girl aesthetic - a lifestyle trend based on elegant and minimalist style - earning him the nickname of 'Drip Jong Un.'

Yet this is far from the only instance Kim Jong Un has garnered attention for his impeccable sense of style. Once described as “dapper” by the New York Times, Vanity Fair dubbed the leader an “Emerging Style Star” back in 2018, the outlet even citing his signature gray suits and tortoiseshell spectacles as “making the competition for the year’s best dressed already stiff.”

Five years later, Kim Jong Un’s iconic look has stood the test of time … and proven Gen Z was right about big pants all along
