The notable tech executive Elon Musk is under fire for allegedly exposing himself to a flight attendant on one of his private jets in 2016. He apparently paid her $250,000 to stay quiet about the incident. On Thursday, Musk tweeted that the allegations were "utterly untrue", and called the woman a "far-left actress" who has "a major political axe to grind." He also challenged the woman to describe the parts that "are not known to the public."

In a story first reported by Insider, Musk was accused of rubbing the flight attendant's leg without permission and offered to buy her a horse if she gave him an erotic massage while on the plane. This was all confessed to Insider by the attendant's friend.

Musk tweeted, "But I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me ‘exposed’ — describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public. She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened."

One of Elon's followers tweeted, "Where were these wild accusations against @elonmusk before he took a stand against the establishment?"

To which Musk responded, "Exactly!"

The Tesla CEO reacted to the original Insider story about the allegations, saying, "If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light."

Musk continues to deny the allegations, which arose during his controversial $44 billion purchase of Twitter.

This is quickly becoming a he said/she said twitter battle, and, unfortunately, until there is something more substantial than a friend's recount of a story they heard, it may fizzle out.
