Whoever once said "nothing in life is free" was full of it.

For the next week Ubisoft is giving away Assassin's Creed: Black Flag at no cost. There is no catch, other than this only being available on PC. Well, and the fact that the copy is redeemed through UPlay which a lot of PC gamers hope would DIAF.

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag is one of the better games in the series. In the game you play as a pirate who has nothing better to do than sail around the world getting into trouble. It was actually a nice change of pace from the more traditional European Assassin's Creed games and ended up getting a lot of good reviews as a result.

Let's be real, you're going to have some free time around Christmas, but paying over $100 to play a game like Star Wars: Battlefront 2 with its DLC is a joke. Try this out and let us know what you think.
