PS3 fat cash lawsuit.

Do you own a PS3? More specifically, do you own an original "fat" PS3 (seen above)? If so, Sony owes you some money.

A class action lawsuit against Sony has ended in a $3,750,000 settlement that will require the company to pay $65 to anyone who purchased a PS3 from an authorized retailer (Best Buy, GameStop, etc.) between November 1st, 2006, and April 1st, 2010.

As the story goes, Sony originally sold the PS3 as a computer where users could install Linux. It later learned of complications with supporting this feature, called OtherOS, leading to it removing the feature and pretending it never happened. Some customers, including the U.S. Air Force, weren't happy.

Now Sony is paying a big price.
