Though Snoop Dogg may have proudly proclaimed “smoke weed every day” at the end of 1999’s “The Next Episode,” it appears the rapper is putting down the joints … or so he says.
On Thursday, the artist headed to his social media pages with a very stoic infographic, revealing that he would no longer partake in his decades-spanning passtime of lighting up.
"After much consideration & conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke," read his now-viral post. "Please respect my privacy at this time."
Despite this bold, evidently Instagram-worthy proclamation, several fans felt Snoop Dogg was simply blowing smoke — pun fully intended — up their a—es, convinced the whole ordeal was a publicity stunt promoting a possible line of infused treats.
“I’m calling it now, he’s coming out with a line of edibles,” wrote Redditor u/ostandalong in a r/Damnthatsinteresting thread detailing his decision, a sentiment echoed over on the Twitterverse.
“Snoop Dogg vape or edibles brand is dropping so soon ..,” predicted @ByEmileeW.

If he’d sell out for a Martha Stewart Bic collab, who knows what he’ll do next, besides continuing to smoke insane amounts of weed.
