The influencer Katie Sigmond is facing charges of violating national park regulations, and could theoretically face up to three months in prison. The 19 year old TikTok and Instagram star has a combined 10 million followers, and posted a video on Snapchat of herself hitting a golf ball into the Grand Canyon. Upon striking the rock the rock she was standing on, her gold cub also broke, sending the shaft flying into the canyon as well.

Needless to say, falling objects from the top of the canyon can pose extreme dangers to hikers and animals below, and there are very strict rules prohibiting throwing things off the side. Even the smallest object can pose risks of causing snowball effect avalanches as well.

Sigmond has been known to try silly stunts, and a recent video in which she took a pumpkin to a bowling alley before being kicked out made the rounds a few weeks ago. This action however carries with it the very real dangers of causing harm to others, and hopefully the legal fall out can help her consider the consequences of her actions beyond just her follower count.

Sigmond has been known to try silly stunts, and a video in which she was kicked out of a bowling alley for using a pumpkin made the rounds a few weeks ago. Of course this particular action carries with it much bigger potential consequences than the inconvenience of bowling alley staff. Hopefully the legal fall out coming her way can help her and other influencer more carefully consider the consequences of their actions beyond just follower count.
