Another year, another Call of Duty. This year Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is up to bat. While that probably won't catch your attention, maybe a new remaster will.
Rumors of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster have been supported by a new listing on Amazon Italy. While no box art is included, a budget price and release date are included.
The surprise? The listing states that the game will release on April 30th of this year. This suggests that the product will be standalone instead of being bundled with a new Call of Duty game (November release) similar to what Activision did with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Historically, early Amazon listings have been real a large majority of the time. But with only six weeks until the supposed release date, there isn't much time for Activision to make a big announcement and push marketing material.

Whether or not it's standalone, the big question will be whether or not gamers care. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was in-demand enough to prop up sales of an unpopular Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but there are definitely diminishing returns with remasters.
