The vibe has shifted once again. And as if we already didn't have enough going on in the world, there is a new issue to worry about. According to Japanese folklore, the 'killing stone' is a volcanic rock that is possessed with the spirit of Sessho-seki, a Nine-Tailed Fox. Legend says that anyone who comes into contact with the stone will die.

Located in the mountains outside Tokyo, the stone has been somewhat of a tourist spot, where travelers would stop to admire the stone and take pictures. According to legend, the demon who possesses the stone took the form of a beautiful woman and attempted to murder Emperor Toba who ruled from 1107 to 1123.

And now that the stone has cracked open, people are wondering if the demon inside has been released.

And sure, the headline is silly, and the stone mysteriously cracked open (foul play), but we say welcome to Sessho-seki. After a thousand years trapped inside her prison, we'd like to welcome you back to the land of the living. Good luck though, a lot has changed!
