If you see a man dressed like the Joker — and you’re not at a Halloween party — it’s a pretty safe bet that you’re about to have a bad time. Same thing goes for people yelling at airports or on airplanes. Mix the two together? Yeah, it ain’t going to go great.

Case in point: This recent interaction captured at San Francisco International Airport. We don’t know what the problem is, but we do know that our airport Joker took it upon himself to yell “Security!” repeatedly from the check-in desk. Security eventually showed up, and things went about how you’d expect.

At first, security calmly sized up the man, trying to figure out the problem, and checking out his documentation. Soon, though, it became clear that something was wrong with the man, and he began screaming before being detained.

Over the course of the video, security does an admirable job of trying to keep things calm. The man puts up a hefty fight, but throughout, security simply tries to settle him down and keep him from hurting himself or others — even when he spits on them or asks them to break his leg.

On Reddit, users speculated about how the man could have ended up in such a situation. “Dude is on a bad trip,” wrote one commenter. “I can’t decide if he’s having a bad trip or if he’s manic. Either way, I hope he gets the help he needs,” added another.

Above all, it’s important to remember that things could have gone worse. As one Redditor put it, “At least it didn’t happen at 35,000ft.”
