An animal’s size as a baby can have little to no relation to how big it will be once it actually grows up.

That said, for mammals, there’s a pretty clear trajectory regarding how big something is at birth versus how big it will be when it’s fully grown. For animals emerging from eggs, however, this is a whole different story — as demonstrated by these tiny eggs and the massive-ass bugs that emerge out of them.
