There’s one major downside to jumping out of a plane with a parachute: If anything happens to it, you’re fucked.

While some people have survived falling out of a plane without a parachute, they’re few and far between — meaning that if you jump out of a plane and see a big fat goose egg where your chute was supposed to be, you can be pretty certain that you’re about to meet your maker.

In this case, the chute was there, but it didn’t fully deploy in time. Thankfully, it managed to fill up before this dude hit the ground, but it still had to have been pretty terrifying for the man under the chute.
