The McRib is back. Or as we like to say Happy McRib Season! Just kidding, we don't say that, but some people do. And if you haven't already heard, the coveted sandwich is now available for a limited time.

Editors note: I must admit, I have never had a McRib, so I cannot speak to how good (bad) it is or isn't (it is). I can only speculate based on how it looks and what others have to say about it.

If you're a McRib fan, I'm sorry to tell ya but the rest of us think you're crazy. To the masses, at best you look like this poor woman, who had one hell of a time trying to get her McRib.

And though there are many reasons to dislike the McRib, which is apparently made of "heart, tripe and scalded stomach" bits, the fanfare is not one of them.

If you like something, that's your business. But choosing to like the McRib is a hot-take gone cold. I mean just look at how disgusting this picture is. Look. At. That. Thing. What did the designers smoke that made them want to emulate rib bones? It looks unholy and unnatural, and that's me being gracious.

Beyond how it looks and the hysterical fanfare around it, the McRib has a bit of a controversial history in the McDonald's kitchen. This old Reddit post sums up one McDonalds employee's struggle with McRib season.

So if you're thinking of getting in your car to pick yourself up the "heart, tripe, scorched stomach" sandwich, we aren't trying to stop you, but we are wondering what the hell is wrong with you. If a pandemic didn't give you time to reflect on your eating habits, it seems nothing will.
