Today, Ubisoft announced they're working with Lucasfilm Games to create a new open world StarWars game, developed by Massive Entertainment, which previously made The Division series.
Very few details have been given out other than that it's "a new story-driven open-world Star Wars adventure."

The untitled game will use the Snowdrop engine used in The Division 2. Julian Gerighty, the creative director for that game, will be serving that same role with the new Star Wars title.
Gerighty said they "want to do it justice with a game and story that bring both lifelong and new fans on an immersive and outstanding journey that will stay with them for years."

Many people were surprised to hear of this game, since EA was believed to have exclusive rights over Star Wars games, but Disney games boss Sean Shoptaw said "there's room for others."
If you're hoping to find out when this game will release, you're going to be waiting a while. The people working on it are still debating what the game will really be about, so this will probably take a few years.
But if you've ever really wanted to roam around Star Wars universes and interact with all the characters, weapons, ships, and landscapes you love from the films, then this game is sure to please. Or at least it should be better than any recent Star Wars game.
