Months after TikTok beauty guru Mikayla Nogueira divided the beauty community with #Mascaragate after allegedly using a pair of false eyelashes in a partnership promoting L'Oréal's Telescopic Lift Mascara, the controversial influencer has recently garnered a new crop of foes – Pets.

Earlier this month, Nogueira shot to virality yet again with a tutorial recreating Kim Kardashian’s smokey, neutral Met Gala makeup look. Yet instead of the influencer’s makeup know-how, another element of her clip managed to steal the spotlight – her pronunciation of Kim Kardashian’s name.

“Kim Kardashian had this absolutely stunning makeup look at the Met Gala and you can recreate it at home,” she commenced her now-viral clip with her signature Boston drawl. Kardashian’s moniker shot from her mouth like a hail of Kylie Cosmetics lipstick bullets. “You can do anything you set your mind to.”

Shortly after sharing the clip, Nogueira, who recently came under fire amid speculation that she has been faking or exaggerating her Massachusets drawl, found her voice the topic of contention yet again with fans flocking to the comments to remark on her self-described “Masshole” take on Kardashian’s name.

“KIM KARDASHEEEAN,” wrote TikTok user @ice..cream..man..new1 in a comment that has since amassed more than 55,200 likes.

“WHY DID SHW [sic] SAY KIM KARDASHIAN LIKE THAT,” reiterated @rhyan_j_16.

“My heart went at “KIM KARDASHIAN!!” added @feliciafleur.

Though Nogueira remained tight-lipped on her pronunciation of “Kim Kardashian,” others began putting her erm, distinct, way of saying the “Jam (Turn It Up)” songstress’ name to the test, capturing their pets’ reactions.

“I’m weak,” TikTok user @slaughtergameceo captioned a clip of their pup jumping to its feet at the sound of Nogueira’s voice.

Yet these reactions were no anomaly. From jumpy kittens to concerned pugs and hell, even a few alarmed toddlers, it seems everyone was taken aback by Nogueira’s Kardashian.
