There are quite a few big games coming out this month, none bigger than Super Mario Odyssey. Some are expecting it to compete for game of the year awards, and lower employee productivity across the United States for a week or two.

Arriving on October 27th, it's going to be a few weeks before you can play. That is, unless you head to your local Best Buy.

Gamers are reporting that The Tostareena level commonly seen in pre-release media, which is set in a desert with crystal structures protruding from the ground, is playable in a demo at some Best Buy retailers. In the demo you get free reign of an open environment where you can run around with your sombrero, smash some enemies, and get a feel for what this new generation of Mario is like.

Though, there's a five minute timer, so don't expect to hog the game too long before the person behind you tries to snag the controller.

Not every Best Buy with have demo stations set up, so you might want to call before heading into a store to play.
