PlayStation, like the NES and Super NES before, is launching a "classic console". It's being touted as being 45% smaller than the original and comes with HDMI ports, classic controllers, and a virtual memory card. Its release date is December 3, 2018 (just in time for Christmas), and will be priced at $99.
