And since it was winter (and where I'm from winter is particularly cold) and our plans were to go on a walk in a park, I surprised her by bringing homemade muffins, a thermos full of warm tea and two cups, so we ended up sitting on a bench warming ourselves up drinking tea. They have amazing resources that you might not expect. My local library system lets us check out aquarium passes, state park passes, telescopes, all sorts of cool stuff and all for free. Plan a dream vacation. Pick an international city and look up landmarks, restaurants, nature spots you’d want to visit.
