1. Ariana Grande – Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
We all knew Ariana Grande could sing. Don’t believe me? Go on TikTok 9 out of 10 sounds you hear will be her voice with someone dancing to the music. But she ended up lending her image to Final Fantasy in 2017. While it was only a mobile game, she ended up being one of the most powerful party members you could have, and she was still a singer.
2. Metal Gear Solid V: Hideo Kojima
Kojima has never been a stranger to meta-commentary. The character of Otacon in Metal Gear Solid was based in part on Kojima and his interests and hobbies. But in MGS: V Kojima took things to another level by quite literally putting himself in the game as a captive to be rescued. It’s a brief moment, so blink and you’ll miss it but it’s good fun for hardcore MGS fans.
3. Keith David (actor) in Saints Row IV
First, he was Spawn, then he joined up with the 4th Street Saints in Saints Row IV playing himself. But you'll most recognize Keith David from the over 45 films and shows he's acted in over the years, most notable along side Frankie Munez in his breakout film, "Agent Cody Banks."
4. Fallout 3: Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson took his particular set of skills to, Fallout 3 in his role of the main character’s father in Vault 101. Can't tell it him, well pretend a bit why don't ya.
5. Halo 3 ODST and Halo 5 Nathan Fillion
Firefly fans rejoiced when they saw Nathan Fillion as Buck in Halo 3 ODST and Halo 5. Buck is one of the best the USMC has to offer and he’s always carrying some damned good one-liners to go with his lethal combat abilities.
6. Command And Conquer Red Alert 3: Ric Flair
The Nature Boy himself decided to take up the role of Commander Hill in Red Alert 3 who's training recruits to fight a war post World War II. His time on screen is brief but funny, unfortunately, you never get to hear his trademark WOOO.
7. Shaquille O’Neal – UFC Undisputed 2010
We all knew Shaq could move after watching him play in the NBA for over a decade, but we never knew he could fight! Those of us that still use cheat codes ( I know, they still exist) can unlock Shaq in UFC Undisputed 2021. At 7’1 he’s a walking tank of destruction.
8. Fred Durst - Fight Club
The first rule of Fight Club is you never talk about Fight Club, but we can talk about Fred Durst who was in fight club. The game wasn’t the best fighter in the world, but Fred was a playable character, and listening to Limp Bizkit while using him to punch guys in the face is always a good time.
9. GTA San Andreas Samuel L Jackson
Samuel “Does he look like a b****?” Jackson lent his likeness to GTA San Andreas as a character you’d least expect….a cop. Jackson plays Officer Frank Tenpenny and he delivers one of his most spirited, and vulgar performances through the course of the game.
10. Michael Jackson Space Channel 5
The King of Pop became the savior of humanity in Space Channel 5 Part 2. A rhythm game where Michael saved the earth purely by dancing. We always knew his voice was powerful but we had no idea what his dancing skills were capable of.
11. Ozzy Osbourne - Brutal Legend
Heavy metal legend and the Prince of Darkness made an appearance in the 2009 hard rock game, Brutal Legend. Ozzy lent his voice to the script and gave the game an absolutely legendary performance like only he could. So if you've never given this title a run, we suggest checking it out.
12. Conor McGregor - Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
Everyone talked about Kit Harrington appearing in Infinite Warfare because at the time Game of Thrones was still all the rage, but who knew Conor McGregor was in the game as well? I had no idea! Conor says at one point he was addicted to the franchise so being part of it is a dream come true.
13. Broken Age: Elijah Wood And Jack Black
Elijah Woods and Jack Black lent their voices to the Kickstarter success Broken Age. Jack’s performance as the leader of the people in the clouds was especially memorable because it let him do what he does best, be goofy as hell for no reason.
14. Snoop Dogg - True Crime LA
The Dogg Father himself decided to grace PlayStation 2 consoles with not only his music but his likeness in True Crime Los Angeles. He’s a hidden character but if you play him right he can help you on missions.
15. Chloë Grace Moretz – Dishonored
Chloe Moretz, the internet's favorite person to photoshop, broke out as a film star in Kick-Ass 2010, then turned her attention to gaming when she joined the cast of Dishonored in 2012 as Lady Emily Kaldwin.
