AI tools have been on the rise recently, with products ranging from text-based programming to hyper-realistic rendering tools, and while some of the characters are already realistic, to begin with, some clearly aren't.
The tool used is called, StyleCLIP, and you can use it to upload images as you would in Photoshop, but without the grueling edits that come along with doing that.
So here is what some iconic video game characters would more or less look like if they were real people.

3.
Trevor (GTA V) - We're going, to begin with, the not-so-interesting and increase the wtf meter as we go. Here is Trevor, a character whose already realistic enough for us. -
4.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) - You don't have to squint too hard to recognize this face. While Lara has been portrayed by Angelina Jolie, this rendering shows a side of Lara we've never seen before, from the timeline when she dropped out of high school and was forced to take classes at the 'continuation school', where instead of studying she sat in the back of the class taking selfies and painting her nails neon green. -
5.
Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2) - Another not-so-shocking render. However, Arthur, if he were a real person, would probably work a tuna boat if given the chance. -
6.
Ahsoka - Ehh, semi-interesting. This is giving me 'lady who pretends to be a witch' vibe. -
7.
Michael (GTA V) - Yep, that's Michael. -
8.
Ryu (Street Fighter) - Now here is where things take a turn. Why does Ryu look like a woman scorned by her lover? He looks like a mom who just caught her children after they made a mess in her just cleaned kitchen. You can tell that the more cartoonish the image, the stranger the final product is. -
9.
Ellie (The Last of Us) - LOL this is kind of a joke, I mean I can't tell them apart. -
10.
Marcus (Gears of War) - Big "hits the gym and only gets compliments from dudes" energy here. -
11.
Nathan Drake (Uncharted) - This dude is trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty. -
12.
Chun-Li (Street Fighter) - Chun-Li as a real person is both cute and well proportioned. -
13.
M.Bison the Dictator (Street Fighter) - Ummm, this one went way off the rails. I'm having a hard time believing this is what the AI tool spat out. Where did the glasses come from? This is not what M.Bison would look like. Zero percent chance the face on the right isn't a sexual predator. -
14.
Kratos (God of War) - I love that the tool gave Kratos some hair. And it seemed to add a couple of pounds as well, but the one thing it captured is the undeniable dad energy he gives off. This face on the right manages a local deli and forces his kids to work there part-time because, it helps build character. -
15.
Jak (Jak & Daxter) - WTF! I have nothing for this one, except that if I say something mean-spirited this person will send pepper a hundred emails demanded I be fired. So pass. -
16.
Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil Village) - Anyone else see Dasha, one half of the Red Scare in that face? -
17.
Zangief (Street Fighter) - This one is my favorite. No doubt that if Zangief were real, he'd be streaming on Twitch. -
18.
Miss Piggy - Since you scrolled this far down, and since I have nothing else to add to the final eight images, here is your reward, the most cursed image of Miss Piggy that we're allowed to share without pissing off our advertisers. So scroll through and enjoy the rest, or don't, you've already seen the best ones. -

Necalli (Street Fighter) -

Bayonetta -

Joel (The Last of Us) -

Franklin (GTA V) -
23.
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) -

Ken (Street Fighter) -

Laura (Street Fighter) -
