With a little over a month to go before the Playstation 5 and XBox Series X (and series S) arrive, it's worth considering how much room you may need to make for your new console.

If you currently own an XBox or Playstation that fits snugly on some shelf or a tidy area on the floor, neither of the next-gen consoles will fit in those spaces. That's because these machines are fat as hell.

While computer hardware continues to shrink every year, video game consoles are now getting bigger and bigger, like some kind of mutant, ever-expanding erection.
