Jiangshi, aka jumping zombie vampires, come from Chinese folklore from the Qing dynasty, but they've since become a big part of Japanese film, comics, and video games. Remember Super Mario Land for Game Boy? It's full of them. While these movies were big in Japan in the 80s, they're making somewhat of a resurgence right now, and you should check it out.
