A guy risked his own life to save an infant girl from what appears to have been certain death. The real question is: how did she end up hanging from the window in the first place?

The incident took place about a month ago in Kazakhstan, with the the man -- named Shabit Shontakbaev -- being hailed as a hero for reducing the little girl from the nearly 100-foot drop below. According to news reports, the woman's mother was out shopping and used a stack of pillows and cushions to reach the window, clambering out before getting stuck there.

The girl held on by only her fingertips for a surprisingly long time as onlookers watched in horror -- that is, until Shontakbaev caught wind of what was going on, mustered his enormous balls, and helped rescue the girl in an incredibly risky rescue attempt. Good work mister.
