Olympic Breakdancing Is Actually Embarrassing
The Olympics should elicit a feeling of, “Wow, I can’t believe these people can do that” — not “what the hell is that lady doing.” However, the latter thought is the one most of us have been left with after watching the Olympics’ newest sport, breakdancing.
While other sports like skateboarding were a bit more understandable to add to the Olympics, breakdancing was always a strange choice. After all, breaking really lost steam in the ‘90s, and since then, the only places where you see people breakdance are street shows where they ask you for money or church youth groups where they “break in the name of the Lord,” somehow.
Regardless, breakdancing is now in the Olympics, and I gotta be honest, I feel like I could knock out this routine in a weekend.
