Skateboarders possess an odd mix of smarts and stupidity. It takes genuine intellect and, more importantly, perseverance to get good at a specific trick. However, it also takes a lot of hitting your head against the pavement and getting kicked out of places by police — two things that most people try to avoid.

This is why it is simultaneously surprising and not surprising at all when you see skaters engage in dumb shit like this:
