The 2003 Joe Schmo Show was an amazingly WTF reality show in which a hundred-person production team orchestrated a fake reality show, 'Lap of Luxury', and populated it with trained actors (including Kristen Wig) and ONE. NORMAL. DUDE.
The whole thing is, quite literally, the Truman Show for a titular Joe Schmo who has no idea he is surrounded by professional actors -- a rat in an overly complicated human maze. Damn. We really don't make 'em like we used to.
Thankfully, the internet has preserved this almost-forgotten masterpiece in its unabashed weirdness.
