In 2014 The Library Of Congress purchased a collection of prints that included an original nitrate print of the 1910 Edison Manufacturing Company production of Mary Shelley's literary masterpiece. This is the the digital remastering of the 2k scan they made of the silent film, that while not wholly rare, is beautifully represented in this version.
