These wheelchair users have been through a lot — and now, that includes a barrage of punches.

While the sport isn’t in the paralympics (yet), wheelchair boxing has grown in popularity alongside its non-wheelchair counterpart. There are, of course, difficulties with adapting the sport to the wheelchair; much of boxing involves footwork, and if you’re using a wheelchair, the sport becomes less about avoiding being punched and more about, well, getting punched.

This is what that looks like in action, and it’s a bit much.
