Ever since Rockstar released GTA V back in 2013, fans of the series have been wondering what a GTA VI could look like, and when it might arrive. It’s been a long time coming, but we finally got some news thanks to a report by Bloomberg.
While there is no firm date set, the game’s planned release was initially rumored to be between late 2023 and early 2024. However, due to an apparent lack of recent progress, some people feel that those dates are quite optimistic.
The game will reportedly feature a female protagonist for the first time in the franchise’s history outside of multiplayer, and she will be part of a bank robbing duo inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
The game will be set in Vice City on its launch, (a fictional version of Miami), but more cities and locations will be added in as the life cycle of the game progresses. There are also supposed to be more interior locations than ever before.
While it’s not much, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have waited a long time for any news on GTA VI, and hopefully before we know it, it will be time to say, “Ah s**t, here we go again,” for another GTA game.
