We've been waiting ten long years for this moment, and it's finally here! But now we have to wait until 2025...

That's right, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer has finally dropped, but in typical GTA fashion, things went a little haywire. Instead of releasing at 9 am Pacific time this morning as Rockstar had originally announced, part of the trailer was leaked around 6:30 pm Eastern time yesterday. Instead of trying to cover up the leak, Rockstar decided to bite the bullet and release the trailer early, tweeting "Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”

This is not the first time that Rockstar has struggled with leaks in regards to GTA VI, as a hacker released almost an hour's worth of early gameplay footage last year, including 90 clips and dozens of informative photos regarding the game's direction. In honor of this trailer's premature release, one Twitter user decided to re-upload all of that leaked footage. 

But while it's a shame Rockstar didn't get to release what might be the most anticipated game trailer of all time on their own terms, it's nice that fans who have been waiting for so long and will continue to wait finally got something earlier than they were expecting.
