The popularity of open-world games cannot be overstated. But what is on the top of the world within these games?

Let us look at the highest vantage points in some of the best open-world titles around.

Just Cause 4 - Located in the province of Qachas, near the center of the map. Players must get to the top of the mountain peak near the tower at Illapa. That is the highest point in the game and gives you a trophy titled "Where I Belong trophy." It is said to be 2461m above sea level in a developer video.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey - Counting the DLCs of this game, there are many high vantage points, especially in Atlantis. However, when it comes to the main game, the highest you can reach is Mount Taygetos. In real life, this mountain stands at a whopping 2,404m.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst - The absolute perfect combination of visuals and heights, this conformist dystopian title is the real deal. Moreover, reaching the top of The Shard in this game has to be one of the most memorable things you'll ever do in a game. Plus, it's so worth the view.

Grand Theft Auto V - The highest building in this classic is The Maze Bank Tower, a 96-story skyscraper. However, the highest vantage point in the game is Mount Chiliad at 798m. The view from there is just as fascinating to look at as it was back in 2013 on the PS3.
