The gaming world seems to be playing a game of cat and mouse, as a new mouse game is in the works following the critically acclaimed release of BlueTwelve Studio's "Stray."
The game will be called "the Spirit & the Mouse," and while it would appear similar to Stray as an adventure game with a furry protagonist, the developers, Alblune Games, say the similarities stop there. While "Stray" is set in a dystopian yet optimistic steam punk world, "the Spirit & the Mouse" plays more like a fairytale, with supernatural elements, and spirits playing a part. There will also be humans in the game to interact with instead of robots.
While the game at surface level might seem to be a copy cat of "Stray," Alblune Games assures that this game has been in development for multiple years, and their similarities are a coincidence. Either way, the fact that "Stray" has popularized an animal protagonist no doubt sets "the Spirit & the Mouse" up for success.
