With Halloween upon us, video game developers have indulged again by creating spooky themed content and events for their titles.
And since you're still spending an inordinate amount of time indoors, you might as well take advantage of the Halloween gaming events while you can.
Here's a list of some of the best scary games, events, and DLC available now.
1. Call of Duty: The Haunting of Verdansk
Call of Duty's latest DLC is a nighttime version of the Verdansk map that includes a zombie battle royale mode.
There's also crossovers with iconic characters from horror movies like Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which are a fun touch of pop culture.

2. Pokémon Go Halloween Event
Pokémon Go gave us a sneak peek of their latest update, which focuses on ghost type Pokémon sighting and more.
In addition to those spooky sightings, the event contains double candy transactions and a Mega Gengar. Regular Gengar and Sableye will get their own Halloween costumes.
Galarian Yamask will also be making its debut through a set of special research tasks called “A Spooky Message Unmasked”, a play on the normal “A Message Unmasked”.

3. Overwatch Halloween Edition
In keeping with tradition, Overwatch brought back the fan favorite mode, Junkenstein’s Revenge, along with spooky new skins.
The event will offer two new challenges per week and the limited edition skins will be made available as rewards when you complete either Junkenstein’s Revenge or any other game play modes.

4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fall Update
Animal Crossing's Halloween offering is more cute than terrifying, but that's just the nature of the game.
The update includes a new pumpkin-growing mechanism, a batch of pumpkin-themed DIY recipes to craft, spooky costumes and accessories for sale at the Able Sisters' shop, a new batch of "body paints" and eye colors, fresh decorations at Nook's Cranny, and an end-of-October event with Jack, the Czar of Halloween.
In addition to the spooky decorations, new skin tones include ghost white, witchy green and Monster blue.

5. Phasmophobia
Everyone’s favorite ghost hunting game seems to have found its stride just in time for Halloween.
There aren't any Halloween themed updates for the game, but it's the perfect party game to play remotely with your friends instead of going to a party and throwing up inside a pumpkin

6. Borderlands 3: Bloody Harvest
Borderlands 3's annual Halloween event is back. With new and spookier skins, haunted loot, ghoulish enemies, and a brand new final boss, Captain Haunt.

7. Mario Kart World Tour Halloween Event
As with every new Mario Kart tour update, there’ll be a host of new drivers, challenges, and a brand new course.
The full details haven't been released yet, but based on the teaser image it looks like there will be Witch Rosalina and Wizard Peach, and possibly some pumpkin-based items.

8. Destiny 2: Festival of the Lost
Destiny 2’s annual Halloween event has been live for a while.
In it you can wear spooky masks while going through the Haunted Forest mode (a twist on the Infinite Forest mode from the Tower). A Halloween themed NPC Eva Levante is also back.

9. Hyper Scape Halloween Event
This is not only the game’s first ever Halloween event but its first seasonal event too.
It offers two new games modes: Crown Rush Solo (a nighttime mode which gives you the power to revive yourself from the dead) and Dark Haze Squad (which will take you to a hazy Neo Arcadia with limited to no visibility).

10. Among Us
You already know about Among Us, the most successful party game in recent memory, but it's worth reiterating that it's a perfect Halloween game.
